This place is in my home village, and it has gotten so much better over the years. Today I had the five course vegan tasting menu, and it was some of the best food I've had in a long time. Asparagus, cauliflower soup, daal filled grilled pepper, Asian-inspired fresh cabbage and raw raspberry cake, in that order, was incredible, and it's definitely worth a visit. They can pair wine, beer or non-alcoholic drinks with the menu if asked beforehand. We had non-paired wines, and those were great as well. Other than the food, the staff are kind, and the view and authenticity of the place are just beyond probably anything you have experienced before. It's expensive, but sleeping and eating here is something you'll remember for the rest of your life.
We visited the Skybar only. We did not spend a night here. The bar is a cozy room with spectacular views of the coast below. The restaurant caters to large events. Service: 4
Ah excellent place, not a common experience and one of the best I’ve had. We came on winter, so the way up was a bit challenging to drive to. The rooms are great, simple but classy. And the dinner at the restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed it as a couple experience. Def a must do. Service: 5
Organized a belated Christmas party for my 2 employees and entourage. Absolutely fantastic from A to Z. Large beautiful rooms, with large bathrooms, cool room design and a view from the room that you can only dream of. The dinner was a 5-course meal with local produce worthy of a Michelin star. Pleasant atmosphere in the loft bar in the evening. The breakfast the next day was also ONLY local ingredients and the hotel chains that boast Norway 's best hotel breakfast really have something to learn, and should be put in the corner of shame for false sales It is Øyna that provides Norway 's best hotel breakfast. This was a wonderful and memorable experience.
