Reviews - Table 43.1
Reviews summary
Nestled within the Black Bear Lodge at Stratton Mountain, this restaurant offers a mixed dining experience characterized by cozy decor and live music. While diners have enjoyed highlights like flavorful duck wings and tasty burgers, service inconsistencies raise concerns, including long wait times and inattentive staff. Some guests encountered hygiene issues during buffet dinners, and there are complaints about food quality in takeout orders. Still, many families appreciate the convenient location and improved menu under a new chef. Despite its challenges, the restaurant remains a favored post-slope spot for hearty meals and a warm atmosphere, appealing to visitors seeking a cozy dining option.

A great option for families. Right in the lobby of Black Bear Lodge, its very convenient and the food is wonderful. They do delivery for the rooms and around the base of the mountain. The new chef has really improved the menu, and is friendly with the guests when dining in.Been here twice during Covid and had a great meal both times. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Table 43.1:
we are there last Saturday for dinner. I felt like we were discriminated. we have specifically asked for a la carte menu and the waitress told us that they only serve buffet food and we eat, but 10 minutes later came another group and they asked for the a la carte menu and the same waitress said they have brought the menu and they explained the whole menu for 5 minutes. on the other side, she didn't even see our face... I do not recommend dining at this restaurant. Tonight, they offered a buffet, but there was no enforcement of mask-wearing. Families with children were hovering around the shared food trays, and some children were even serving themselves with their hands. We brought this to the attention of the staff, but no action was taken. We quickly paid our bill and left, informing the staff at the Black Bear hotel, only to be told that nothing could be done. It was a very disappointing experience; masks should definitely be required in a buffet setting.
I wouldn't recommend ordering food from here. I understand that everything has been more challenging due to COVID-19, but considering the prices they charge, it’s hard to justify. To put it bluntly, even Wendy's and other fast-food places serve a better-quality chicken sandwich, which was dry and lacked flavor. On top of that, they added a hefty gratuity to our takeout order.

This restaurant at Stratton Mountain offers ample parking. We called ahead for takeout and were not disappointed. The food was prepared quickly, which was perfect after our 7-hour drive. My husband ordered the pork chop, and it was fantastic. I opted for the burger, which was excellent. Our child enjoyed his chicken tenders from the kids' menu. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese, and it was very tasty. The tables were properly spaced for social distancing, and the staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely return!

I visited this restaurant for dessert on Christmas night. The staff was very friendly, and the apple cake served with vanilla ice cream was incredible.
I had an excellent dinner tonight. We ordered four appetizers, and they were all fantastic. Plus, our waitress was incredibly friendly!
I dined at Table 43.1 on a weekday and found the place nearly empty. The decor is stunning, creating a cozy atmosphere, especially with the fireplace glowing in the spacious room. The menu is quite intriguing. Since we weren't too hungry, the four of us opted for just a few appetizers, planning to decide on entrées later. We ordered Duck Wings with Maple BBQ sauce, Poutine, and Mediterranean Street Fries. The portions were generous! The wings were crispy and flavorful, while the Poutine was delicious and loaded with tender short rib meat. The sweet potato fries offered a unique blend of flavors and textures. By the time we finished the appetizers, we were already quite full. Nonetheless, we ordered a Fried Chicken entrée, southern style, which was quite tasty. To wrap up our meal, we decided to share some ice cream and ordered a large bowl with four spoons. It turned out to be enormous, holding four scoops! The local ice cream was delightful, topped with salted caramel, chocolate sauce, and candied nuts – absolutely delicious! The service was attentive and friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience here, making it a perfect choice after a long day on the slopes, just a few steps from our room.

I still don't understand. is it because of our skin color? I will not recommend this place to any colored skin man!
I went through the hotel lobby and heard live music from the restaurant. there was a gitarist. So I thought I'd just get a sandwich in the cash as I had done before. the bartender gave me a very spicy bar-food menu and said it was that or the buffet dinner. no participants available. I think because of the personal problems in restaurants everywhere. Anyway, the crabcakes I got were pretty good and it was nice to have live music. but if they plan the dinner, note that from februar 2022 it was only a fat. menu image attached here.
