If you can not handle, do not go in.
For those who can handle intestines, this place has a great bowel soup. The menu is quite misleading that the spicy pork soup is full of intestinal and pork slices. It looks angry, but the taste is great. View all feedback.
What Pierre Perez doesn't like about Ymone Haejanggook:
Terrible customer service. We ordered three pork bone soup by pointing out the image of the pork bone soup at the menu. However, the waitress does not pay attention to our order and finally she gave us wrong dishes. We complaint with the owner but he, without any apologise, saying that it is our fault for not recognizing different in name “pork soup” and “pork bone soup”, despite we choose the right image ... Hands down is the most authentic Korean restaurant in strathfield. the best place to go for a pot, as it is their specificity. her lead쌈 (bossam) is to die. a must order at any time.
Long queuing was not a problem, but they seemed more polite with Korean customers than others. the portions are huge, so make sure they collect a few friends if they want to try a few things. but check them with them when they let their whole group sit together before u decide to order. oxblood and intestines are delicate, a bit different from the common ingredient, but generally a bit pricy and taste just ok, meeresfruit pfannkuchen is the only thing that tastes good. I hope they can reflect their services, especially the great guy who seemed to be responsible, there is another person who seems to be a little better.
I love how authentic the food is here and it taste great but the service here is pretty bad. When I asked for something from the waiter he ignored me and moved onto another table. This happened a couple of more times. Overall, I recommend the food here to everyone and would’ve given the place a 5 stars if it weren’t for the rude service.
Such an authentic taste... there’s not many Korean restaurants nowadays full of Korean customer.. mostly they just serve fried chicken to foreigners.. but this one!! Yum!! However.. not very friendly to English speakers. We’ve ordered a potato hotpot with so much ribs cooked soft and a seafood pancake. The best seafood pancake I’ve ever tasted!!
Jesus! I am saddened by some innocent (or ignorant) positive reviews I am seeing here as they don't know what they are being subjected to. For anyone in the know this is actually a downright place to avoid. The food is alright but the issue is hygiene. Koreans who are familiar with the area generally avoid this establishment as they know that here in this restaurant, they actually routinely recycle their customers' leftover food. They would give the leftovers from their customers' menu (side dishes etc.) a summary wash and reuse those to serve other customers. I know it's gross but sadly this is something has been known to happen in few places in Korea too a while back. But I would have to admit that the taste of the food is good and that's why they get a large number of clients despite a number of other haejangguk places in the area
