We have visited York's three times in the last two months for brunch, and each experience has been quite disappointing. The service has been poor, with long wait times and even a lost order due to a pressure issue, with no updates provided unless specifically asked for. We've found out on arrival the restaurant has closed down
This is a lovely spot for a relaxed breakfast. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for on a Sunday morning. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend it!
The reservation wasn't in their system, but thankfully they managed to find a table for us. The food was served promptly and was quite good. We specifically ordered the same cocktail to take advantage of the two-for-£13 deal, yet we were charged the full price for them. It's not a major issue, as it would have only saved us £3, but it still felt a bit off.
The food was exceptional, featuring a truly unique range of options. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I can't wait to return!
Usually my experience at Yorks is great. But on this visit it was very disappointing. There seemed to be enough floor staff but not much going on. We had to wait 30 45 minutes to get our brunch. We were going to order another drink but decided not too as there seemed to be much confusion with staff. It wasn’t busy. Usually service is great polite and friendly staff, food serviced quickly. This latest experience will make me think about returning.
