During our visit to Stratford to celebrate a friend's anniversary, we found ourselves looking for a place to watch the football final with a group of 10 people. After trying several pubs without success, we were told to check out the Yard of Ale. What BoardingPass426062 doesn't like about The Yard Of Ale:
The restaurant no longer serves food. My experience at the sports bar on 26/08/2020 was disappointing. After a long journey from Warrington to Stratford, we were eager to eat, but were informed that the pub no longer served food. Despite hearing that the pub had a good food menu and friendly atmosphere, we had to find another place to eat. View all feedback.

This popular pub is well-supported and lively, with a down-to-earth and friendly atmosphere. It features a pool table, dart board, and an up-to-date jukebox. The landlord, Mark, is highly regarded and actively supports local causes and charities. His assistant, Dennis, is also very friendly and welcoming.
We come here fairly regularly and we're always welcomed with a smile and banter from Mark. Great pub, not over priced. Great carling on tap too. Darts, pool and screens here too. Juke box with a great selection too. Food is good too.
This is not a posh pub, only accepts cash. However it is right opposite the travellodge and does a great starter cooked breakfast for £2.95. The food is excellent and very friendly service. I would recommend
