Alcester Square Fish

Unfortunately, they do not accept card payments for purchases under £10. I simply wanted to order a small fish and chips for £8, but they wouldn't take my card. They missed out on making a sale from me.

I was incredibly disappointed with the chips at this restaurant. They tasted as if they had been coated in sand instead of salt, resulting in a gritty texture with an unknown substance. Every bite was unpleasant, causing all of us to leave them behind. Furthermore, they were soggy and excessively greasy. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Although I reside in Stratford, I consistently visit this restaurant for their fish and chips. The portions are generous, and I usually opt for the special priced at £7.00, which includes fish and chips, a choice of sauce, and a hot or cold drink. I have never been disappointed with my meal as the food and service are consistently excellent. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making it a top recommendation in the area and far surpassing any chip shops in Stratford.

Super friendly service, veey busy which always bodes we'll, and what turned out to be easily the best food in the area. Between our group we had battered and plain sausages, chicken kebab, fish, chips, curry and gravy. All fantastic. This was our first visit as we were passing through Alcester, but I will be making the journey in future as it was so good.

Unlike so many other chippys this one has it just right, order them wait outside so you are not trying to get passed people stading in the door. Good size portions, so much so, we ended up sharing a medium bag of chips for 2 of us, and we have big appetites...Friendly staff too.
