My first time dining here and I totally would give them 5 stars! The staff offers great customer service, the establishment is very clean and cute, and the food was great! My husband, myself and son all enjoyed our dishes! It’s a must try! They also have a live band every other Sunday which sets the mood!Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What joe gallagher doesn't like about Stratford Skillet:
I am giving it two stars for service and the coffee was good. I ordered the veggie skillet. The place is named Stratford Skillet. Potatoes were half cooked and if they weren’t going to cook in the actual cast iron skillet for safety reasons, they should have at least gone to the effort to sauté the contents of the skillet to give it a skillet flavor. After taste of the oil they utilized also tasted rancid. Other food... View all feedback.
We had the Stratford Skillet and an omelette. Food was good and service was great until it was time to go. (There were 3 waitstaff on. We asked for the check and kept waiting so we decided to just go to the counter (where you pay anyway . We asked for a to go container and the woman said “Is your food still on the table? She’s going to clear it!” So we kept a vigilant eye on the leftovers while she prepared the check, and then as I’m looking it over and signing I said, “can we have a container?” She snapped “I can’t do 3 things at once!” (At this point, my hand that was writing in the gratuity paused. No, but perhaps you could ask one of the other two servers to get one? Or to grab the plate with the leftovers and bring it to the counter? The place was about half full her comment was unnecessary. I did tip, but not as much as I would have before this unpleasant experience.Parking: Plenty of parking in a lot or along Booth St.Wheelchair accessibility: I’m pretty sure there’s a ramp and there are freestanding tables in addition to the booths.
Breakfast was good. Had the eggs over easy with sausage and toast. Coffee is included with the meal. Atmosphere could use some sprucing up a bit. But overall good.Food: 4/5
Live, soulful music. Fast and friendly service. My veggie skillet was cooked just the way I asked. Menu prices are pre-Covid??So glad I found this place. Will be my new go to spot when I'm in the area.Food: 5/5
Smelled terrible. Food was bland. Service was decent. Wouldn't recommend. Better breakfast options in area
If you live in the area of Stratford, Connecticut. You might want to try out the Stratford skillet for breakfast or lunch. This place is located in the center part of Stratford, right on Barnum Ave. Everyone is very welcoming. Not a lot of seating and not a lot of parking but you could always park on the street. The food is very good. Service is good and they always have some sort of special on the chalkboard. If you're in the area, check out Stratford skillet
