Duchess Diner - Stratford

I absolutely love this diner! The Patty Melt is incredibly delicious! Our waitress, Terri, is outstanding. She is not only professional and attentive, but also very friendly and welcoming! The chef was also very accommodating; I ordered a Patty Melt around 8 a.m., probably much earlier than the kitchen expected to be preparing lunch...lol. Overall, it's a fantastic place with great prices, excellent service, and talented cooks! I highly recommend it!

I've been visiting this restaurant since I was a child, going there with my parents. I returned after my high school prom, brought my daughter, and now I take my grandchildren. So many memories have been made in this place, and I'm grateful they are still around! It's truly a staple in the Stratford community.

I went to this restaurant for a post-workout meal, and the breakfast was exactly what I was looking for. I ordered three eggs with bacon and tomatoes, and the scrambled eggs looked delicious. The bacon was equally tempting. My food was served quickly, and the staff was friendly. I also appreciated that they stay open late, which is a nice change from many other places that close early. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'm grateful for their outstanding service!

Jamie is an incredible waiter—patient and kind—who handles a lot of stress as the sole server in a packed dining room. He ensures that customers are not kept waiting and is always eager to assist everyone. The menu features classic diner food at reasonable prices, but what really stands out is the commitment to getting each order right and making sure everything is priced fairly. The personal attention to detail makes this the perfect spot for a late-night rendezvous, with last call at midnight.

The food and service were excellent. The dishes arrived promptly. I ordered blueberry pancakes paired with Italian sausages, and I also added two eggs cooked medium with cheddar cheese, which was my favorite part of the meal. The pancakes could have been more flavorful; I think it might be due to the batter. Overall, there is convenient on-site parking.
