Contribute FeedbackNestled in Strasburg, the Speckled Hen has garnered a mixed array of feedback from visitors. Diners praise the visually appealing and flavorful food, with standout items like the breakfast burrito and pumpkin spice latte receiving high marks. However, some have noted inconsistent service and long wait times that detracted from the experience. The restaurant’s atmosphere is described as cozy, making it a pleasant spot for brunch. While prices may be on the higher side, many feel that the quality justifies the cost. With a welcoming vibe and a diverse menu, the Speckled Hen may still be worth a visit.
My recent dining experience at this restaurant was for brunch, and it was excellent. The price per person was in the $20-30 range, which I found to be reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. I rated the food a 5 out of 5, as each dish was delicious and well-prepared. The service also received a perfect score of 5, as the staff were attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, receiving a 4 out of 5 rating. It was a cozy and welcoming space, perfect for enjoying a leisurely brunch. The recommended dishes, particularly the Avocado Toast, were absolutely delightful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to vegetarians, as their vegetarian offerings are clearly labeled and delicious. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience and would definitely return in the future.
The food and coffee at this restaurant were visually enticing and had a wonderful aroma, but they were a bit pricey. Unfortunately, the layout of the restaurant was confusing and unclear, especially for those with children. I recommend ordering online if you decide to visit. Overall, I would rate the food a 2, the service a 1, and the atmosphere a 2.
I have found my new go-to brunch spot! The coffee here is fantastic and the food is absolutely delicious. Everything is sourced from local farms, so you can really taste the quality. I highly recommend trying the breakfast sandwiches, especially if you enjoy candied bacon. The service was top-notch, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic. I recommend trying the Pumpkin Spice Coffee, Smoked Panini, French Toast Stacker, Cinnamon Roll French Toast, and a side of Croissant. Overall, I give this place 5 stars for both food and service.

My sister and I were visiting the area for the weekend and looking for a good place for Sunday brunch. After reading the reviews and looking at the menu online, I was very hopeful the Speckled Hen would be a good choice. We arrived just before 11 and they were busy, but still had plenty of seating. We placed our order quickly and sat down. Our drinks were brought to us within 10 minutes. The chai latte was very bitter, however my sister said the pumpkin spice latte was amazing. Then we sat. And waited 40 minutes for our food. My sister got a breakfast burrito which she really enjoyed. I had the basic breakfast, which I had ordered with bacon, but came out with sausage. We'd waited so long, I didn't bother to point out the mistake. My food was ok. Nothing spectacular. There was no apology for the wait and the staff pretty much ignores you unless you get their attention. Overall, disappointed. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
