This is turning into my favorite restaurant in Strasbourg! My italian friends here in town introduced me to it and every time I i enjoy the experience- and its really the only italian restaurant in town they will visit. What User doesn't like about La trattoria da Giovanni:
Selected this restaurant on the basis of the good reviews here. Very disappointed. Service was OK but the food was poor. Spag bol caked in congealed cheese and a small piece of overcooked veal. Also poor value at 15 euro for Spag bol. Would never return. Avoid View all feedback.
Great. excellent fish kitchen .. real Neapolitan who cooks with family at least three generations.
The card is succinte, no menus. there are cold intakes, pasta, meat/fish, a suggestion of the day and a suggestion of the season. all dishes are prepared minutes and are made at home. the staff is welcoming and super friendly, so is the same for the room. I counted 10 tables. the atmosphere is rather authentic and in the Italian universe, which has a certain charm. for prices one turns in a range of 16 to 23 euros for dishes, but the price-value ratio is frankly more than reasonable. I recommend it!
Had a delicious meal here this afternoon: squid with penne and tomato sauce. The service is very friendly. The prices are good.
On the way home from Italy it is a disappointment. Charming but somewhat unfocused service and dishes that lacked Italian love.
Vanessa, Around and Elodie are great! The service is perfect, I recommend 100%.
