We stopped by a local pharmacy to pick top something for sore muscles and asked about a good local eatery. Without hesitation he suggested La Marseillaise. Its location close to the light rail turned out to be fortuitous and the food and service was up to the task. The entrees were well-received all around with the exception of one slightly overdone potato pancake. Still, an overall pleasant and satisfying experience... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Marseillaise:
do not book it through online booking here, they will not honor it. we navigated our way to the restaurant with confirmation email from the gabel, and they were not up to date with the reservations, so we had no table. we were also discriminated against. View all feedback.
This is a small restaurant that serves directly in front of the French kitchen. nothing special, but good. service is friendly and fast. a decent meal at a decent price near the city center of straßburg. nothing to complain, all right!
Eating is great, friendly staff, mathieu was very attentive to our needs. we have enjoyed the experience very well and recommend it safe.
My wife an I happened upon this restaurant while on a stroll on our first ever trip to Strasbourg. I am thankful that we did. We actually ate outside at the Bierstub chez Camille portion of the restaurant. The food was superb, service was beyond...perfect, and the weather happened to be in complete cooperation to make this dining experience one of our best in Europe. I am so happy that we ended up here. The server (owner made us feel completely at home and was amazingly helpful even though my ability to speak french consists of around 5 words. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Strasbourg. It is a short easy walk from pretty much all of the main tourist destinations in the La Petite France area of Strasbourg..
We had lunch in the former l' Ancienne Fondarie building which is now owned/operated by the La Marseillaise restaurant--same menu--in fact we stopped in La Maseillaise and they took us around the corner to this spot...so I'm going with it. Had nice langos/flammkuchens for lunch...with some local meteor beers. Fast friendly service. Place was packed on a Sunday noon during the Christmas markets,
La Marseillaise offers a great variety of meat but we chose the 2 fish fruit of the sea food. Both were delicious. The menu shows some Serbian South Slavic influence.
