Although I would like to give this place a good assessment, I would be dishonest to do this. both the service and the eating were differentiated. there was a server that owner and although she was very nice, she could not handle the entire dining room. the food took...to come out forever and the choucroute L’alsatien was very mediocre. I would not recommend this place.
My daughter found this place and what a good choice she made. I had a German pork with sour herb, my daughter, the chicken-sweet-sweet. the desserts looked beautiful and tempting, but the main course filled me. would highly recommend. some people talk. English.
In short, they go elsewhere. note: I am French, so you know very well how good French cuisine should be. poor and slow service only one person for 20 tables, unfortunately often the case in small restaurants that seem hesitant to rent waiter: debt the high control?; and the dame did not seem to enjoy their work and has no effort to welcome us etc. very cold overall, probably in the wrong line of work. terrible and overpriced 8 eur! desserts 2 of 6 desserts were not available to mention the waitress “forget” until we specifically asked about these desserts. the one we got were not good: a crème brûlée, the choucroute was ok, but nothing to write home, which was disappointing for a place called “la choucrouterie”! I would not be surprised this place that it seems listed in guides and quite well rated on ta. they were warned!
A nice little restaurant with typical French Alsace. the service was friendly and efficient. the restaurant has a good atmosphere as it belongs to a local artist. eating is good value for money and it is child-friendly.
Usual meal before the show for more years with friends. we were very welcome. the frame and the map have changed little since the change of operators. quick service but tensions between the staff in the room. the kitchen has become more industrial and a little lost its soul. quick service. We were widely in time to attend the theatre.
