My wife and I came here for lunch and we found it to be a very nice, authentic French café. We were visiting Strasbourg for the weekend and we wanted to try to experience as much of Strasbourg (in its most authentic state) as we could and this café seemed very representative of the city itself. The prices are relatively high so do not go here if you're looking to eat somewhere on a budget. But the food/coffee was rea... View all feedback.
What Claude Lopes doesn't like about Cafe Broglie:
We hadn't planned on visiting Cafe Broglie but when a heavy thunderstorm started we ran for cover. The cafe was full so we bought some beers and sheltered outside under the parasols. Cafe Broglie is on the corner of a pretty tree lined square and would make a pleasant pitstop in better weather. The interior is handsome & spacious with a long wooden bar and plenty of chairs and tables. Unfortunately, I cannot recommen... View all feedback.
I did read some bad reviews on here about how the staff ignored but we decided to give the benefit of the doubt. So when we arrived one of the waiters was walking behind us we even let him walk past us and he's the door to be polite. But they didn't seem to help, we took a seat and some waitresses walking around us and saw us, we even made eye contact. Still no service. Sat there for about 10min. I thought my money was best spent elsewhere and we left. We found a cute creperie right across from the main cathedral which the staff were super friendly and attentive from the start so that's where we stayed.
A restaurant for me is not only the cook. It's the whole package: reception, accommodation and table service. I was delighted to find this spot. It is actually next to the first Christmas market in Strasbourg .there are so many that one can get confused. I have to say though that if you feel like enjoying a good meal very different from all what the markets offer, it's a very nice place. I've been granted the center table in the corner. I explicitly asked not to face the market so I could see people passing by on the streets. I had a great veal cutlet ( I recommend you precise how cook you wanted to be) a glass of wine and a creme brûlée!!! Had an exquisite lunch and left very satisfied with the bill. The place is crowded non stop but it's stuff is so professional and handy!
We loved the Alsace region of France. This cafe was the perfect place for some glasses of wonderful wine while touring.
Needed a place to eat breakfast on a Sunday morning and found this cafe at the corner of the plaza. The prices where good and the food was as well. (Highly recommend the croissants!) The inside had nice furniture and if you sat near the window you had a good view of the plaza and could people watch.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the management who eventually refused to serve us outside even though they were unable to find room for us inside. It seems they were worried that their staff might get wet but with no such concern for their customers ! Whatever happened to hospitality ?!
