A half-timbered house set in the park of L’Orangerie that looks like something out of a fairy tale but is in the city centre close to the European Parliament. We had a private event with a set menu, excellent food and smart service. The sommelier had done themed wine pairings which he presented showing not just great knowledge but also a good sense of humour. Dessert was prepared by a chef from another restaurant (part of the event), so I‘m not showing that picture, but also shows their flexibility with events. Can absolutely recommend, both for business and leisure dining.
Beware: I got incredibly bad food poisoning from this restaurant. The food was not good The service was horrible. We contacted the restaurant directly and were ignored. I could go on and on about the ambiance lacking, or the horrendous service from our waiter... The worst service we 've ever had in our entire lives (waiter named Houman?? , or the discombobulated, cold, and tasteless food. I have so much to say about this place and not one thing is positive. Please save your money, time, and go elsewhere. My husband and I travel often and we wouldn 't even eat here again if the meal was given to us for free. As for the service, there was one tall gentleman with buzzed hair on the bottom and the rest of his hair in a ponytail. He was the highlight of the meal. Our waiter Houman was the worst we 've ever had in our entire lives! We asked him after appetizers to please watch out for us more and refill our water, clear our plates, ask if we are enjoying our meal, etc. He sarcastically said ok , and we never saw him again. He didn 't come back to our table once the rest of the meal! We 've had much more stellar service from a food truck. We have eaten at Michelin restaurants and I 'm shocked that this restaurant is even in the same league. It has actually made me question the validity of Michelin stars and I 'll be writing directly to them.
Let's start with the gorgeous inside room. Forget the outdoor terrace. Dine indoors. We were practically alone. What a gorgeous menu and tasty dishes. My slab of Foie Gras was at least three quarters of an inch thick and large on the plate. So Delicious. Every dish so good. Excellent and fairly priced wine list. I would go nightly if I could.
Had dinner here for the second time (first time was in 2016) and second time is a charm. First time was somehow marked by a bit of a snobby/unfriendly service. This time, the start wasnt the best we arrived at 19.25 which was 5 minutes before opening and the service person seemed annoyed. After that however we were pleased with the service, also the sommelier was friendly and gave great wine recommendations. The food was absolutely fantastic (we did the 4 course menu, which of course is more like 7 with the various small bites in between) and we really enjoyed the whole experience with our various wines. Would return for a 3rd time. It isnt cheap but it is worth it.
Had a lovely dinner at Le Buerehiesel with my girlfriend. We chose the Menu Affair, which seems like a 4-course dinner but is in fact 7 courses. Amuse-guele, entree 1, entree 2, main dish, optional cheese board, pre-dessert, dessert and apres-dessert. We enjoyed every bite, very well-balanced flavours and portions. The sommelier guided us through the experience with excellent matching wines from the region.
