Good little restaurant! typical Alsatian cuisine with small dishes at reasonable prices!
I've been in several restaurants in Strussburg, this is the best one. Everything was great. There was an English menu and the staff spoke English with a smile. The restaurant is in the middle of old town, so the atmosphere was very good. The food was superb. We chose traditional food: Tartar steak and escalope with mushrooms. It was superb. Just superb. The wine menu has wide variety with several regional wines with reasonable price.I will definitely come again in my next visit to this region.
The silveroratum is by far the restaurant offering quality alsatian cuisine with soft prices...very difficult to find a better value for money. I'm absolutely advised.
The restaurant serves Alsace specialities such as Choucroute, Wadele. I ordered Escargots (8€, Wadele (16.7€, Gratin Spaetzle creme champ (15.4€). Everything is tasty and it is much for me (Maybe the amount of food fits French people LOL .
The meal was average, I had the cocotte with fried egg and potato mashed. It could have been much more tasteful, a special sauce would have helped. Then I ordered the profiterole. They came to Hershey syrup smeared, really?, they can't make chocolate... syrup. This is France with all their wonderful chocolates. But the worst part was the skillful Chantilly cream. How difficult it is for a French cook to have made home Chantilly cream available in the refrigerator. Even at home, I would never use fake Chantilly cream and Hershey syrup.
