Von Trapp Bierhall - STOWE

The Bierhall, one of the most beautiful parts of the Trapp Family Lodge! BEER CHEEE AND PRETZEL are simple!!! Sometimes I play disc golf on the looping course, and I usually only think for the pulpits and beer cheese. From outside it looks like a large building, inside it is stunningly large! You can tour the brewery yourself! You don't even need a guide to look through a window and see the fermentation tanks. By the way, buy one of the singing goats in the gift shop, they are creepy!

This place was fun. Beer was good and we have the apple wine that was brilliant! We've got the pulpit, you have to make the berry claw so good! The cheese board was not spectacular! Very cool building

Loved our visit! The atmosphere and building were great with beautiful fall foliage views. The food and beer were wonderful. Highly recommend the pretzel with the beer cheese and the chicken sandwich (schnitzel style). The staff was very friendly and attentive. I made a reservation 1 week in advance and had plenty of time slots to choose from. Definitely a busy place, but was still Covid friendly.

This is where the Sound of Music movie was filmed for the scenery. It was Gorgeous. It does have a hotel on the property. We were just driving by and saw the sign for Von Trap. And took a chance. And I was right. Be prepared, it is a VERY TIGHT CURVY ROAD to get there. Dont drive it if you are any bit tired. There are no street lights at night. PLEASE drive the last 15-20 minutes ONLY during the DAYTIME. And not when Sunshine is just Rising or Setting into the Drivers Eyes. The Driver needs all Advantages to help them. If you are riding Shotgun, work out a hand signal to let them know when Driver is taking a Left Bend, that you can see a car coming from the other way, so Driver can either slow down, pull more to the right if room, or kinda stop if nobody behind you. Because the oncoming Driver, you don 't know if they have been drinking the BEER, or not realizing how tight these turns are. And sometimes, Tourist just don 't pay attention, or they are texting too. Or get distracted. Enjoy. Take lots of Pictures

This place really blown my expectations out of the water. The room is huge and comfortable. Lunch was very tasty - Brussel sprouts, Bretzel with cheese, and black bean burgers were all very delicious. I had a flight of beer and liked the pilgrim best. Will definitely come back when we're in town!
