What Marc Casie doesn't like about Trapp Family Lodge Dining Room:
My wife has wanted to visit this place for years. While the inside is somewhat worn out, the exterior has a nice appearance. The parking lot, however, is gravel and muddy. The staff were excellent, and the expansive property was a plus. You can definitely see that it used to be a wonderful place, but it seems to have seen better days. View all feedback.
Nearby activities include hiking, skiing, golfing, and guided tours. There are plenty of walking trails, which require a paid day pass ($10 for adults); however, you can absolutely visit the lodge, outdoor center, and restaurant/gift shop without needing a day pass. The menu at the restaurant looked appealing.

The location is beautiful, and the rooms were immaculate and very cozy. Although check-in was at 4 PM, our room wasn't ready until nearly 5 PM. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 5, service a 4, and the location a 5.
This was a magical place! Growing up with the Sound of Music just made this come to life. Definitely do a tour and explore the grounds. My only regret is not staying longer, but hey, never know if I'll be back with more family! ; Rooms: We stayed in the family suite. I took my mom, husband, and 2 littles, and it was a perfect layout for just that : Noteworthy details: A great coffee house on site and we regret not eating at the restaurant Rooms: 5
Great experience here all around. Food, service, and room. I nice spot in the country to relax. The beers from the brewery are also very good. My favorites were the weiss beer and Bohemian Pilsner. Pretzel sandwich brat at the brewery was really tasty, and the schnitzel was my favorite in the restaurant. Food drinks: Food was the best overall that we have had while traveling in the northeast this trip. I don’t normally eat baked goods, but everyone I ate here was very good. The beers from the brewery were also very good. Definitely stop in at the brewery and get a beer and a pretzel brat sandwich. Try their salads too. Cucumber, carrot , coleslaw are also worth trying.
