Discovered this place during lockdown, when pubs were allowed to serve outside and have grown to really like the place. First thing, the beer. The Bathams bitter is lovely. A very nice drink and kept well. Food: a good range of the usual pub snacks. Not seen any indication of hot food/meals etc but I generally go in quite late so perhaps I miss things. Atmosphere: very friendly, there is generally music playing in the background but never loud enough to disturb conversation. The music is generally stuff you can hum/tap your foot to and is in keeping. Always found the staff and locals to be friendly. Never felt that it was a ‘family’pub. The outside area is very pleasant but I don’t feel that it’s the type of pub aimed at the family outing. This is not a negative, it knows it’s audience. The prices are very reasonable also. Definitely recommend and will continue to support this ‘proper’ pub.

This is a fantastic spot with affordable prices and excellent beer. It does close a bit early, but that's not a big deal. Price per person: £10–20. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5.
