Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House

My family and I come to the stony plain location often. It is the best steak you can get in the spruce/stony area. Food is fairly consistent with the exception of the onion soup which could be improved upon the cheese seems to be disappearing more and more every visit. The workers are all pleasant except for one that heavily pushes alcoholic drinks. However, our overall experience is always pleasant and we will continue to dine here.

I love it here!! My hubby and I LOVE wing night- the food is always delicious. We also highly recommend asking for Elise as a server- she really is the best!

I ordered takeout prime rib. I’ve ordered this before with no issues. It’s always done to perfection. This time the prime rib was well done, veggies were undercooked. I called the next day to talk with a supervisor/ manager. I did not want a refund, I was looking for a discount on my next order, which would have been the same thing. The person I spoke with said he needed to do some ‘investigating’ so see what happened, took my number and said he’ll call back in a few hours. It’s been 2 days now with no response. I am now looking for a new restaurant to order prime rib.

Gravy felt like it was days old.Pasta was crunchy and cheese wasn’t even melted on properly.Service. awful. Our waitress literally shouted at us every time she came to the tableWe barely sat down and she shouted asking what we were wanting “Or do we need more time”. Usually a few minutes would be the norm.And overpriced doesn’t even cut it. 12$ for a soggy brown Cesar salad.You work hard for your money. Don’t spend it here!

Made reservations for a 73 rd birthday. It was good courtesy over thr phone when booking. My server was great, and manager ch3cked in frequently. The food was ok, some dishes were good, others some improvement could have been upgraded to be better. The scallops were a bit rubbery, prime rib excellent, undecided dishes, the stuff mash potatoes burnt, baked beans too sweet, ribs were cold. very dark in the restaurant, lighting could have been better.
