A W Restaurants - Stony Plain

This is my family's go to stop for something really quick. We all love a teen burger. Having been to a few A&W's they've definitely gotten their lettuce wraps down compared to other locations.

I have eaten at A&W for a lifetime and now tried the new beef and “yuck” is being polite. Plus it is not Canadain beef and the new beef has lost a longtime customer. Staff still great as the root beer

Today, last weekend, we had Buddy Burgers and they were different...mayonnaise had been added, which was never done before... and they skimped on the onions/red sauce? We liked these burgers because of the sauce which was different from other burgers. Now they are not...distinctive and taste like every other burger. Wonder why A W is now adding mayo? We are greatly disappointed!! OR- is it only this A W that is doing this OR is it a staff member that is making an error in preparation? Please make them like you used to do.

Seriously disappointed! We went through the drive-thru today at and were waited on by a middle-aged woman with long dark hair and a strong accent (these were the only stand out identifiables I can think of as I didn't have her name). We were...instructed to wait around the side for our order so we drove in back as usual (we have been coming here since the restaurant was built and that was considered around the side). When she brought the order out to us she very rudely said to my husband I TOLD you to park around the side, you know in FRONT of the restaurant We were shocked. Never have I ever been scolded by restaurant staff. It was completely out of line! The best we could figure out, parking where we did (where EVERYONE always has) meant she had to walk a bit further to deliver our food if she went out the front door. As a side note, the front stalls were packed and the back had space to park so even if we went to park where she preferred' we would have had trouble getting a stall. I realize that working fast food service is a tiring and sometimes thankless job, but to scold your customer because you wanted them to save you a few steps is beyond inappropriate. If there was another reason for this poor behavior we failed to see it. There are so many food options in Stony Plain, we won't be returning if this is the level of service we can expect. What a stark contrast to Tim Hortons right across the lot! I think management needs to reinforce what good customer service involves if this is how servers treat paying customers. If you want a really good burger you have plenty to choose from, hit up a place where customer service matters!

This place has the best Buddy Burgers of all the A W's we've visited. They are consistently fresh, hot, juicy and flavorful. The buns are always fresh and soft! We like to frequent A W's when we travel ...have gone to red Deer,...Wainwright, Morinville, Jasper, Camrose, Leduc, Devon, Edmonton, Edson and many other Alberta locations. Stony Plain is still the best. Some places don't use onions. Others have dry buns. Some places serve lukewarm burgers while others again have little to no sauce- have to ask for more sauce. The breakfast wraps are always fresh hot and the onion rings are the same- again, not so at other A W's where we've found them to be greasy/cold . So...we like to eat at OUR A&W...
