Quaint winery located in the woods off a dirt road. The staff was amazing and we loved our experience overall! Patio, indoor seating, as well as tables out in the grass View all feedback.
What Alicia Moscoso doesn't like about Stonington Vineyards:
I was really looking forward to this winery, but unfortunately left disappointed and will not return. Instead of a warm welcome, staff was rude and uninviting. They were also going to charge $5 extra to drink out of a glass vs. plastic cup. There are manyother great wineries in the area and I would recommend taking your business elsewhere! Best vineyard around! From Mother’s Day celebrations to outings with friends the staff here knows how to make everyone feel welcomed. My out of town family always asks to come here, because of the excellent wine, beautiful property, and most of all to see Josh. Josh is so so knowledgeable when it comes to wine and is a joy to spend time with, his hospitality is impossible to match. Do yourself a favor and visit this Stonington gem next time you’re in the area. Cheers!
I saw great reviews of this vineyard and was hoping to stop by during a trip to Mystic and was so happy we chose to go. Just a 15 minute drive from Mystic, Stonington Vineyards is nestled in a beautiful area with a gorgeous view surrounding the winery. There was plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors, but I definitely recommend taking advantage of the view outside weather permitting. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly. They regularly checked if our glasses need to be cleared or if we needed another drink. They asked about our wine and flavor preferences and provided thoughtful recommendations to taste before committing to a glass. The manager was especially attentive to every customer's needs. My partner ended up actually proposing to me here and they were so open and willing to making it happen. It felt like coming home to family and they celebrated with us the whole evening. We will absolutely be coming back here and I highly encourage you to make a stop here for a beautiful wine tasting!
A favorite stop along the Connecticut wine trail. Beautiful indoor and expanded outdoor seating. Great wine selection and tastings available. Favorites include Seaport White. Moderately priced for the area. Service is quick and friendly and family owned. Ambiance is reminiscent of the Italian countryside.
If I could give zero stars I would because unfortunately I did not get to try any wines. The website and and signs outside the building say they open at 11am. I arrived with my sister at 11:05am. There was also another group waiting. The door to the tasting room was unlocked but all the lights were off. We waited in the tasting room until 11:25am but no employee ever arrived. Very disappointing after driving 40mins from RI
What a great experience we had. We were visiting family from Philadelphia and decided to stop by for a tasting. The wines were delicious but your team was fantastic. Joshua and Matthew are a great team together. So friendly, funny, and all the other important aspect of excellent customer service. The artwork on the walls were spectacular. We will be stopping back whenever we return to Connecticut. Thank you for a great time.
