Contribute FeedbackMy family comes from New York while my youth to young adulthood was spent in Los Angeles. Both places when you know where to go have the best pizza in the country. This is why when my family craves good pizza, I usually make it myself after years of perfecting my recipe. I digress to say that in order to taste the actual pizza, one must order it with cheese and not all those toppings that remove the flavor of the sauce and cheese. Secondly, the dough is so important to the flavor and texture of any pizza. I have an eleven year old son and last night we decided to have one of our boys only dates together so we went to the Rolling Oaks Mall to kick around in and we decided to eat. Restaurants in the food court seem to play musical chairs as each time we go there (not very often , the restaurants seem to change from visit to visit save Chick Filet (gag . So we decided to order a NY style pizza (yeah in San Antonio right? The visual presentation of the pizza was great and I told that to the chef as he smiled broadly and handed me that mouth-watering looking cheese pizza... I told my son Sean that from the looks of it, this just might be a good pizza; and then we took our first bites and looked at each other in affirmation to the fact that this was indeed an authentic NY style pizza! The crust was the desirable Crunch-Chewey that it should be, the sauce pops and the cheese mixture was everything that it should be and all together....... the best, the finest pizza in all of my 14 years living in San Antonio! This is a good thing because our second favorite mall pizza was at Northstar, but last time we went there we were disappointed to find that it was no longer there. Rush to Villa Pizza to have one of their very large pizza 's for only $12.99 including two drinks or two side dishes (which were just okay but so long as pizza is the star, Villa Pizza shines brightly! And no, I 'm not affiliated with VP in any shape or form. Eating well is fun! Richard Z (full blooded Italian FYI.
