The moo shu pork was really good. Almost a reminded me of the food wrapped in a tortilla but it was their special pancakes. Very good and tasty. My wife had a curry dish that she said was great as well. Service was super, but the restaurant was a little cool inside that detracted a little. Will be back. View all feedback.
Always fresh food, well prepared and tasty. Excellent menu, even have dim sum along with a variety of fresh oriental tea's. If you go for lunch be prepared for a wait but well worth it
Dim sum ends around 2. Cart stops running around 1:30 to 2. So come early because the wait time can be an hour or longer. Some items may get sold out if you come late. I would probably come around 12 the latest. When I sat down, 3 flies immediately made that nuisance presence. The establishment definitely wants to address this pest problem. 1. Ham Sui Kwok $5.39 It was hot (temp) and decently seasoned. The pastry is a bit crisp and not doughy. 2. Fung Jou $4.99 It was delicious and pretty standard. 3. Sui My $4.99 Well seasoned and quite delicious. 4. Spare Ribe $5.39 A lot of flavor and well done. 5. Cha Sui Bao $4.99 Well seasoned and average filling quantity. 6. Gai Bao $4.99 The ginger taste was present. However, the filling is over stuffed and overcooked, hence solidly stiff. Would taste better if the filling was more fluid like. 7. Egg Custard Tart $5.39 The tart was flaky and the custard was sweet at the right level. 8. Shrimp Cheng Fan $5.89 The shrimp was good and the pastry was slightly smooth and flexible. It could be a bit thinner, smoother, and more flexible. 9. Hot Tea $2.79 Pur'er and chrysanthemum. The bill came to $48.51 including tax. Yes, I ate most of it and brought home the egg custard tart and some of the baos.
I found a ROACH in my CHICKEN FRIED RICE. I was very disappointed and grossed out. There are other people with the same problem.
I have been eating at Peng's since they opened. My kids started eating there as preteens and have continued into adulthood. My personal favorite is Kung Pao Shrimp. Peng's has spoiled me so much that I have a difficult time finding other Chinese restaurants at which I really enjoy eating. Fast. Friendly. Excellent food. Generous portions. Great prices. What more could you want?
