El Pollo Al Carbon

Although from the looks outside and inside. The food is amazing! It's cooked very well . They have the best chicken and fajitas. I recommend to bring the whole family for the best experience. They always make sure you get what you pay for. Always make sure you're satisfied. 10/10 would definitely come back!!

This is a regular spot I meet at where my small group guys eat at before our meeting on Mondays. The restaurant is an authentic Mexican BBQ place. They provide a few well prepared meals that are very tasty and very satisfying. Over the last number of weeks we have served by a sweet, kind, efficient waitress who's name is Lupita. She is quick to ask what we'd like to drink as soon as we arrive. Most of the men I dine with get an ice tea, or water or a Coke. For the entree's, I get the 1/2 fajitas plate, which comes with rice, avocado with lettuce and tomato. You can also order charro beans that have beans, onions and some spices. You also are served warm corn tortillas. Or there's a chicken plate where the chicken is red from being BBQed . We all usually order the 1/2 pound selection or you can pay double and get a full pound. I have also had their cheeseburger which comes with mustard, ketchup, tomato, cheese, and onion. I ask then to not include the Mayo, as that's something I don't like. They also have a Monterrey Burger that has what the other one has but also has bacon. It may have more things but I don't know as I have never ordered it. Definitely if you want to have a genuine Mexican experience with out going across the border, go to one of their restaurants and bite into truly authentic food that has the favor that comes from that country.

Have been wanting to come here for a while but never got the chance until today and i was not disappointed. One of the very few spots in San Antonio to actually have authentic carne and pollo asado. The staff was great and the place was very clean. The only knock is that the salsas are not spicy but that is just a personal preference. Will definitely be coming back. Whoever gave them a 1 star needs to get banned feom Yelp.
