O... read more Last night, I experienced the worst service I can remember. Despite having worked in the service industry myself, I am usually very patient and understanding. Our dining experience lasted 2 hours, with our food arriving 1 hour and 20 minutes after we placed our order. The waitress was nowhere to be found, and we couldn't even pay our bill until she returned with a drink in hand and a phone in the other (clearly on a break as she was not in the bar or restaurant). To make matters worse, my friend found a plastic bag tie in his salad, and when he pointed it out, the kitchen staff laughed. While my food was satisfactory, the service was notably poor. When we arrived, the table had not been cleared behind us, and 2 hours later it remained the same, despite seeing staff walk by empty-handed during our entire dining experience. This review is not meant to disparage the business, but rather to highlight areas for improvement in order to help restore the restaurant to its former reputation.

The restaurant was only half full and the tables had not been cleaned. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes for the salad to arrive. During the meal, I found a metal bread tie in my salad. The waitress did not seem to care, did not offer to replace the salad, and still charged me for it. The spaghetti finally arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes after we arrived. We witnessed two tables being abandoned due to lack of service while we waited. The waitress appeared to be more interested in socializing with people at the bar. Other customers were also complaining about the food and service. It is very disappointing as we have had good meals here before, but it is important for the owner to be aware of this experience.

As someone who hails from Chicago and has spent time in Philadelphia, I consider myself knowledgeable about Italian beef and Philly cheesesteaks. Sadly, what I received was neither. The only features that loosely connected this sandwich to Philadelphia were the cheese and grilled vegetables, while the sole Italian touch came from the giardiniera peppers. To be clear, neither of these sandwiches should contain pulled roast beef—it should be thinly sliced beef, and I did notice a meat slicer in the kitchen. In summary, this sandwich was not authentic and lacked flavor. The fries were soggy, and the Bloody Mary was unpalatable; it had an off taste that made it hard to enjoy.
