This was our go to place for dinner during our first few days on the island. They have great prepared meals, gelato, ABC store and really everything you could need. It gets very busy after 6pm when everyone is grabbing food for the night. View all feedback.
What john u doesn't like about Island Gourmet Market:
Let's face it. Filipino food is the freshest when you are at a party. So the bar is set really low (IMHO). This place is as decent as Filipino food can get. Even in Daly City, there was a really good spot, until the evening entertainment arrived. We bet if the rat would fall it's perch, but it didn't. View all feedback.
Half Filipino half Mexican. I'm Pampangian and i know good food. Was not disappointed. I will be back for their Sinagong w/ pork ribs. Diana from Lathrop
I love coming here. Today, I decided to get their halo-halo. I am very disappointed in my purchase. There are no sweet beans, nor are there any coconut palm jellies, no ube jam, no langka, no sweet mango slices, no leche flan, no pinipig. Just a note it should have both ube ice cream and mango ice cream. All it has is the green and red jellies that I don’t care for. Yuk. This is a crime against our Filipino dessert. Everything else is great!
Very good food, very friendly staff the sweets are amazing.
This is a smaller Filipino family restaurant and gets pretty busy. One side is the restaurant, while the other side holds the Asian market with various imported Filipino foods, produce, frozen items. They carry more desserts now like mini Leche Flan, Sweet Biko, Casava Cake, etc. Some of the sweets that stir up sweet childhood memories of my Mom 's cooking, along with all the Titas who cooked with her, to provide the family community a feast. I really like the combination of ingredients that makes their Ginataang Bilo-Bilo tasty good for you, with plantain bananas, coconut, coconut milk, sweet potatoes, yams, tapioca pearls (Boba), and mochi balls. They sell a good variety of entrées to choose from and combination plates which includes rice or Pancit. Some of our favorites are Lechon Kawali, Fish Sinigang, Pork Adobo, Fried Bananas, and Fried Sweet Potatoes. They usually have a selection of fried fish BBQ sticks available too. Visit them and enjoy some good Asian cooking.
The only complaint is that the food was not fresh. We got meat on a stick and it was cold and very tough. But the customer service was great
