Sadly Stockton on Tees is not the nice place it used to be empty shops shops selling cheap tat : charity shops. However this little cafe is a hidden gem. I love the atmosphere old time music playing and vintage paraphernalia on the walls. I just had a scone and a coffee. I’d love to return for afternoon tea! View all feedback.
What Lyn0S doesn't like about Remember Me Tea Rooms:
Although this is a lovely little cafe in stockton was rather disappointed with the food, cheese onion toastie more onion than cheese, salad was only ok, think the coleslaw was bought in, cheap and nasty. STAFF.. They need to learn to smile and maybe have a cause in customer service everything seems as if it's far to much work for them even to smile was hard pushed! The manager is friendly enough just a shame her staf... View all feedback.
This restaurant was unforgettable in every way. The afternoon tea was delicious and the staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the nostalgic 'step back in time' atmosphere. As a proud resident of Stockton, this restaurant is a hidden gem. Well done! We love it.
I visited a tea room in Middlesbrough for afternoon tea and was disappointed with my experience. The establishment, Remember Me Tearooms, used processed cheese and ham in their sandwiches and served scones with artificial cream instead of fresh or clotted cream. The cake selection was limited and we had to wait in the doorway for 10 minutes for our table, even though we had booked in advance. The lack of social distancing and lack of consideration from the staff was embarrassing. I will not be returning to this tea room and will stick with places I know and trust.
Lovely afternoon tea. And the ladies were helpful. I chose egg sarnies but you can choose from a variety. The bread was lovely and soft. Scones were a choice of cheese or fresh cream with jam and We had a variety of homemade cakes. Was homely a bit like been at your nans house. With free flowing tea. Cozy and quaint.
I have no clue how this establishment has had any good reviews. The staff are the rudest most ignorant staff I have ever seen if they get paid for ignoring customers and being rude they must all be millionaires. The food is very poor curled up sandwiches and poor quality tea. Then looking round we felt ill the place was filthy looks like it hasn't been properly cleaned in months. First Visit- Last Visit What a Complete Let Down.
Called in for a snack at lunchtime. I had a lovely toasted tea cake and my friend had a lovely big scone, both were delicious. Waitress was very friendly and pleasant she should give the lady behind the counter a few tips!! Bit cramped but worth a visit.
