This is a lovely fish bar. Portion sizes are good. Queues are not too long. The food is always really hot. There is a wide range of offers on the menu. Check out their potato fritters which are lovely slices of potato in a nice light crispy batter cooked fresh to order. View all feedback.
What Ruth Khan doesn't like about Hartburn Fish:
Ordered at just past and came what came was the wrong order completely! I understand that they were busy and these things happen but what we got delivered (wrongly as we ordered cod and chips twice and a patty) looked inedible! Cheese chips completely stuck to the paper, sausage that was still oinking and a burger so hard it offered me out. We were offered a refund or a replacement the next day but looking at what tu... Wow the new potatoes used today were great. Much more flavour. Always freshly cooked and hot. Always clean and good customer service. Gillian
This is the best chippy ever there is a man who Fry's think his name is pat. See when he's on the food Is delicious cooked purfefet the other staff our so nice friendly I'd give you a 100/100
I made a silly mistake and ordered for pickup instead of delivery, but the helpful staff member quickly resolved the issue by asking for a small fee. Despite forgetting to order curry sauce, the restaurant offered both traditional chip shop and Chinese options, pleasing both myself and the kids. The mix-up between gluten-free and regular items was easily rectified, with the staff member ensuring that the price difference was accounted for. The portion of cod and chips was small but reasonable, and the kids enjoyed their battered sausage. The food was cooked perfectly, with a light and crispy batter. The delivery was well-handled, with the driver ensuring that I had all of my items securely packed. I can't wait to order from this restaurant again, even though I should probably save it for special occasions. But then again, every day is a special day, right?
As someone with celiac disease, I am thrilled to have found a fish bar where I can confidently enjoy gluten-free food without the fear of cross contamination.
I ordered a large fish and chips and a large kebab with salad and garlic sauce. However, when I got home, there was no salad or pitta bread, and the kebab meat was tough like rubber. The fish and chips were below average, not even suitable for a dog to eat. This visit was disappointing and will be my first and last.
