Contribute FeedbackThe Rising Sun in Bredbury is a mixed bag with some reviewers describing disastrous experiences while others praising the impeccable service and delicious food. The negative reviews detail issues with organization, cleanliness, and unwanted critters on the premises. However, positive reviews highlight the warm hospitality, fantastic food, and cozy atmosphere, where even the most mundane activities like enjoying a pint can be enhanced. With a mix of experiences, it seems like a visit to this pub might be a hit or miss, but if you're looking for a unique experience, it might be worth a visit for some travelers in the Stockport area.
I've been to the rising sun quite regularly Georgia and Lauren are such lovely staff always looking after customers! Great atmosphere Good music all ways great night.
5 of us went for Sunday lunch last week and my dad is still talking about how much he enjoyed it almost a week later..They now offer 2 or 3 courses but unfortunately we were too full to try another course!
Really nice evening meal, freshly cooked and hot. Friendly staff, will definately be eating there again. Thank you
A lovely little welcoming place. Popped in just before train and had a lovely well priced snack homemade coleslaw amazing!!! and craft beer on tap !! Bar staff friendly and knowledgeable
My hubby and I went here for his birthday meal last night. We were the only ones in there. There wasn't much on the menu. We'd only had a couple of sips of our drinks and we wanted to leave. It was more like a youth centre than a pub and that was just the owners and their friends. They were VERY loud and messing around, so annoying and not professional at all. Such a shame they have ruined a lovely relaxed pub. Let's hope somebody decent takes over. We ended up in Madras Spice, we should have gone there in the 1st place but we wanted to give The Rising Sun a go, never again while the current owners have it. AVOID.
