I ate in this pub about 7 years ago...it was awful. Wow...what a turn around! I thought I would give it a try again the other day whilst visiting the hospital, and here we are again today! Dare I say anymore! Good quality foodThe staff are lovely and so is the food! Definitely reccomend this place! We will be back here again ASAP! View all feedback.
What Frank Dohms doesn't like about The George And Dragon:
As you can see in all the negative reviews it's never the managers fault... would be ok of he accepted the negative and tried to change things but be carful say anything bad and he will bar your whole family... me and my 3 children are barred for complaining about food that the manager tried to cook when the chef was off... read the replies this manager leaves to any complaint View all feedback.
Monday lunch sold out of two of the menu items I had selected,my partners meal was served with tatty looking lettuce.
Had a loverly meal with my brother Fast and filleting and best of all Hot. Desert was slow but we was told coz a big table had ordered but we was next so no bother.
Worst Sunday dinner ever it was cold. The portion was tiny. Turkey and beef duo. Two tiny slices of meat. Could of passed to be a kids meal. Never again.
Took in a football game, and it was great. Discount on cask beer via ticket. Buy 5 get one free. Will visit again soon.
We have visited this pub twice now, as a family after visiting a relative in hospital prior to our 2 hour journey home back to Derby. I must say, this pub is great. The menu choices are wide range, and each time we’ve had a great meal. The pub is very clean indoors, and the staff are very attentive. Even with a 30 minute wait on food, there’s many TV’s available to watch the days sport on to keep you entertained.
