Service was fast and friendly and the serving staff friendly and helpful.

Team member then who had obv... read more Bad points first Menu items unavailable Food Luke warm Plates not cleared ,when we tried to order desserts it wasn’t taken kindly . Team member then who had obviously thought was finished came back with coat on too take order again without clearing plates first . Asked for bill but still had to go chase this Felt the whole time as if we were putting staff out they just wanted to be finished to join the rest of staff in bar . Good points unfortunately none

We visited the pub for a drink before a planned visit to a nearby restaurant, which when we arrived had been closed due to unforeseen circumstances, so we went... read more We visited the pub for a drink before a planned visit to a nearby restaurant, which when we arrived had been closed due to unforeseen circumstances, so we went back to the pub and were given a table for food straight away. The food arrived quickly, we both had steak and it was well cooked. The staff were very friendly and we had a good laugh with them during the evening. We returned for breakfast the next morning and were greeted warmly and chatted with the staff again. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Lovely place and would definitely visit again when we are in the area.

Reasonable fish and chips and a very tasty vegetarian burger. Not bad value, but very slow.

Served up and liver was overcooked and like leather, c... read more One of our local restaurants so have visited before. Decided to have calves liver and bacon for a change. Served up and liver was overcooked and like leather, could not cut some of it with a steak knife. Crispy onions were soggy as covered in gravy. Waitress replaced it with a fresh portion, not quite as overcooked but liver was very gristly. Again onions soggy. Manager came over and apologised and did not charge for the meal and provided discounted desserts so reasonable compensation. Gravy on top is way they are told to serve the dish. Manager stated comments and quality of the liver would be reported back to HQ.
