The starters were good, wine was nice, the sides were basic, with the french fries heavily salted. This is a steakhouse which prides itself on the quality of the meat and unfortunately when I saw the 6 week dry aged steak (330g) which was at least 25% fat and the grizzle showing it didn 't bode well. It was also heavily salted which when combined with the french fries was not pleasant. Looks aside I tried three pieces from around the steak and whilst cooked to medium rare as I ordered was very tough, so tough I summoned the waitress and asked her to take it away. She did this and came back with what has to be one of the most bizarre lines, The chef says he can warm it some more for you if that would help? . Sadly nothing could have helped this steak becoming tender apart from putting it through a mincing machine a few times! I made it clear that stating something so ridiculous was not acceptable and to make sure it wasn 't on the bill. The others faired better in the group but they weren 't succulent by any means, just less tough than mine. When the bill came and it had two errors, my steak was priced and two extra sides were added. I pointed this out and was met with You still have to pay for the steak you didn 't eat That 's when I saw red, I explained that under no terms was I paying for it. I was happy to pay for everything else but not that or the two sides which we didn 't order or have. She disappeared and came back with a new bill and said to avoid an argument they would make an exception. My advice to the owner is to get some staff who actually know something about cooking and service. I 'd also advise that they eat a proper steak every now and again to understand what good tastes like. So overall I 'd have to say very disappointing and very expensive. Will not be returning.
The hotel receptionist recommended, and he was right (thank you Frederick). One of the best stake houses in town. Only that this is much more than a stake house rich and original menu, each dish a delicious surprise. We ordered the butcher’s stake, it was tender, perfectly cooked and beautifully served. Highly recommended.
Went there with my wife based on the reputation of the restaurant being a top place for steaks. The service was really impeccable as we received attention at all times and good suggestions. The menu is a bit on the limited side. We would have appreciated more options on the starter side as well as on the meat cuts. Food quality was high and flavors were succulent, although i would have expected the meat to be served to be warmer. A good place to enjoy a nice meal but w the limited menu on offer not so often.
That’s just awful. We had a table booked for 9pm. Showed up at 8.40. Were told that we could not be seated until our scheduled time even though we counted to seven empty tables. Instead we were told we were welcome to sit at the bar until our booked time. The bar was full though so we had to stand and look at all the empty set tables. After a few minutes we asked again why we could not sit at one of the free tables and were told “because you have to wait for another ten minutes”. So we just left and went home to order some Indian takeaway instead. Have not experienced this bad level of service so far in Stockholm. Won’t come back to this place no matter how good the food is.
It’s a bit unexpected to say, of a seven course meal, that the absolute highlight was the fries, but it’s true. They’re so good I’d go back again just for the fries. The cocktail bar is also sublime. Very imaginative creations.
