I heard it was good, then I tried it. It exceeded my expectations by a mile. The prices are not your average sushi but then again, not that high above. It was the first time trying the place but definitely not my last. View all feedback.
What P doesn't like about Sushi Zen:
Worst sushi I had in Stockholm. I read the rave reviews and asked a friend to join me for lunch here. It was the saddest sushi I’ve had in this city. I felt so bad that I picked up the tab for both our meals. My conscience wouldn’t allow me to have my friend pay for his sushi. That’s how bad it was. Forget your White Guide choices and your Michelin stars: sometimes good sushi doesn’t need to be expensive and fussy. Sounds rather strange for Sweden (Stockholm especially), but such a place exists. This is probably the OG of all sushi restaurants in this city. Take this: nigiri bites that you can dip and flip without losing any rice grain, and rolls that don’t need no jazzy sauce and that still fit neatly in your mouth. It’s best to order the large set so you won’t miss out on the beautiful scallop (though maybe next time I’d just get medium and get them scallops thrice). And don’t forget to close the meal with an extra piece of tamago — it is definitely the best I’ve had here in Sweden.
I’m extremely happy when finding a sushi restaurant with original flavors in Stockholm. The decoration of the restaurant, the scent of houjicha tea, and the taste of wasabi are recalled all of my memories in Japan.

Authentic sushi restaurant at a good price! There are quite a lot of sushi restaurants in the city centre. However, most of them are Asian fusion restaurants, and finding an authentic one is quite difficult. I recommend this restaurant if you 'd like to have proper sushi at a reasonable price.
