The food quality was really good. As an Indian who eats South Indian food regularly, I can definitely say this is the most authentic Indian food in all of Scandinavia Europe. The staff was very sweet too. View all feedback.
What Katharina Wallin doesn't like about Saravanaa Bhavan St Eriksplan:
We wanted vegetarian, which it was. We have eaten in Indian restaurants all over the world but this was not genuine in any way. Lentil soup was thin and salty. Spring rolls were ok but came with tomato ketchup straight from the bottle. Biriani was far too hot, it’s meant to be mild and it didn’t have many vegetables. The curry was very hot but tasteless with plain white rice and a tiny pot of chopped raw carrots. Alt... View all feedback.
I wanted to eat with my wife. We ordered rasam soup, kadai wiper punjabi and mushroom biryani. Also a cup of Masala Chai. First served kadai wiper punjabi and the rice and dish was cold. Taste was good, but we felt that the part was small. Then came very late the Rasam soup, it was unfortunately ice cold and was very small in serving for 55kr, we did not even eat it again and took it for away. Then came the mushroom biryani later, the rice was sticky, I had not expected Biryani to have sticky rice. We have no longer asked to heat the soup because there has already been another table complaining about the so long food and everything is cold or not properly cooked, they may not have enough staff. You have only one cook to make the Dhosas, which is a reason why it took so long for another table. You should increase the number of employees so that things can be better, and they should make sure that food is served hot/hot.

I was in this place in January and it was really brilliant I really loved it and I could taste South India. Very good and boss came from Tamil Nadu. It was perfection. Now I was back in March and immediately noticed something changed. Maybe a new owner and I saw her and they weren't really South Indians. But all this about eating from course to the owner does not have to make any difference. Another cook does. The Massala Dosa was different fillingYellow Potatto Sambar was very thick and very salty. I asked the waitress if there was another cook and she said yes. That was the first thing I noticed. I ordered Itly and Massala Dosa. Massala tea was very good and survived people were also very nice. Otherwise I couldn't tap the waiters. I loved doing this because they were so nice. Nice staff is difficult today. You should have another payment system so tips can work to staff based on many hours. Hope next time it gets better
The atmosphere was really cozy. The services is really nice. We order and in less than 10 min te food was there. The portions are big and the prices are super.
The food wasn’t authentic, the chutney in the name of chutney is an insult to itself. Idly batter was one of the awful idlys i have had in the recent past. Masala dosa was the closest to the authentic food I had today. Expectation really hurts, especially when you are a foodie
