of four different staff, all of whom were friendly and attentive. we asked for the coolest place they had and were kindly seated by a window, with a cool brise, at one of the hottest days of the year! we shared a delicious plate with baked brie, warm ciabatta, cold meat, hummus and oliven. then I enjoyed the delicate cup of black coffee that I had in a long time together with a delicious choc mousse. a very relaxed l... Welcome, dinner, bar, room all excellent. Breakfast was then disappointing. Arrived 9am, 2 hours before end of service. No croissant or fresh bakes left. I had to suggest toast... It wasn't offered. Then waitress removed butter and jams before toast arrived, then only brought one choice of jam, and only when I asked for it. More interested in chatting to her friend. After such a lovely evening it was a real let-down.
Got the lamb shoulder here with Deanston Scotch tonight it was the best meal I've had on a 3 week vacation throughout Britain. The haggis appetizer was also delicious and the Deanston, made nearby, was affordable and yummy. Staff all very polite, attentive, and helpful. Highly recommend!
Popped in for breakfast. Been here before and both times had a great experience. Good service from staff, amazing food and great value for money. Great atmosphere with some background music.
We had read good things about this place but sadly our experience didn't live up to some of the other reviews. The food we had was delicious and other people's looked just as good, but service by the waiting staff needs some work. We arrived 15 minutes early for our table completely happy to wait if need be, but were delighted to be seated right away. Sadly, on being handed over from the lady who seated us to the waiter, that is where the service started to fail. Our order was taken which included a starter to share and 2 mains. The waiter didn't write anything down and, 15 minutes later, the mains arrived. We cancelled the starter there and then, and the waiter reacted as though he had forgotten it. Annoying in itself, but we heard the table behind us say they got free olives, suggesting we were being missed overlooked treated differently. The food we had was delicious especially the burger but the chip portion was tiny so we ordered another portion to share. We figured the small portion was because there was a 2 for £25 burger deal on, and were happy to pay for more. But when the bill came, the deal hadn't been added to our bill and we were being charged the full amount. We obviously told the waiter who fixed it, but it was just the icing on the cake of our general experience.
Mind-blowingly good food! My partner and I were absolutely blown away by our evening at the Allan Park during a recent visit to Stirling. Everything was outstanding, the service, the food, the wine. I went for pan-roasted chicken with haggis, a meal I’ve had many times over the years, however never to this standard. It was exceptional! My partner opted for the slow cooked beef and it too was amazing. The staff were wonderful and attentive and really topped off what was already a great evening. This was our first time visiting the Allan Park, but I really hope it’ll still be around on our next visit to Stirling.
