Had a quick lunch here while touring Stirling Castle. Self-serve line moved quickly and the food (salad for my wife, soup for me) was quite good. Tables needed cleaning, but one was quickly made ready by one of the staff. We enjoyed a reasonably priced lunch in decent setting and were able to continue the tour quickly. I don't know if there are other lunch choices here, but this one was certainly what we wanted. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Stirling Castle Unicorn Cafe:
This cafe is located within the grounds of Stirling Castle, and its charming little corner looks very appealing. Had it been a sunny day, we would have loved to sit outside and take in the views of Stirling. The selection of cakes is delightful, and there are plenty of savory food options available. However, the staff seemed quite disorganized, except for one young man at the register who appeared to know what he was... View all feedback.
Located inside Stirling castle. Decent cafe. Bit expensive though. Extremely friendly staff.
Great staff, lovely snacks. Stopped for a carrot cake and hot chocolate after our visit at Stirling Castle. Line moved quickly and the carrot cake was the best!
The soup is wonderful, and you receive a generous bowlful. However, the bread could be stored in a way that prevents it from drying out around the edges, as it comes in a nice, substantial piece. The staff is friendly, and the service is outstanding.
I had a rather stressful lunch experience. I picked up two kids' lunch boxes but discovered there were no sandwiches inside, so I assumed they were made at the counter. When I got to the till, I learned that I had to pick them up from a separate fridge at the entrance, which had a very limited selection (only cheese sandwiches left). This meant I had to leave the queue to get the sandwiches and then rejoin the end of the line. There were no signs indicating where to find the sandwiches, and the food displays were mostly empty with no hot food available. I eventually left the queue to see if I had overlooked something regarding where to find the food. Overall, it felt chaotic, with too many people and very few food options.
There are many delightful dishes to discover here, but I have to deduct two stars. I would recommend avoiding the fish, as it appeared to have been sitting out for an extended period.
