After a tiring drive, we were looking for a place to relax with a coffee and a scone while bringing along our friendly but energetic Springer Spaniel. The staff at this restaurant were unfazed and quickly set us up in a comfortable seating area. They brought out delicious scones with cream and jam, and even gave our dog plenty of attention. My experience with the afternoon tea at this restaurant was the worst I've ever had, which was especially disappointing as we were celebrating Father's Day. Despite booking in advance, the staff seemed unprepared and the table setting was subpar, with cheap crockery and cutlery. The sandwiches were basic, the scones were dry, and the pastries seemed leftover from breakfast. Cakes were not served and there were cleanliness issues with other tables and the restroom. Overall, the drop in quality from a previous visit was surprising and I would not come back again.

This restaurant is truly amazing, with delicious food that I would recommend to everyone. Take the time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and savor some high-quality dishes.
We were staying at the hotel and dinner was included but we are given options to choose off a menu and some dishes had supplementary prices to add on; makes sense for steak etc but not quite sure why a burger had a surcharge? The service was friendly and food served fast. Lovely presentation and very tasty. We had the pork and the duck, cheesecake and croissant bread and butter pudding. All delicious! The only negative I'd say is that when staying in the hotel you can't charge to your room, and this is OK if people are told when being seated rather than being chased at the end! Whether staying at the hotel it visiting Drymen the restaurant is worth a visit.
The waiter just didn't seem to get how to do his job. Nothing in particular was wrong with the food but nothing stood out either.
