Highland Gate Stirling

The place was clean and well-maintained, and the thermostat in the room was easy to use. We had complete privacy, and despite being near the main road, the room was surprisingly quiet. The staff, including the cleaners, bar staff, and restaurant personnel, were all wonderful. They were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Lewis Brown and Olivia from the restaurant were particularly delightful and made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I have no complaints! This is definitely somewhere we would return to.

I stopped by for a quick meal on my way home, and it turned out to be an excellent experience. I felt compelled to leave feedback, especially for Hannah and a very cheerful waitress from the kitchen. Both were lovely, friendly, and professional. The food was fantastic; we all had the Sunday roast, which came in huge portions and offered great value. If this is the level of service and quality, I will definitely be returning more often. Thank you!

Around 5 PM, a young man came to my room to address the bed situation. He pushed the two single beds together to create a double, but did not zip the mattresses together, so it was essentially still two small singles covered by a double quilt. I was staying here because my travel plans were disrupted by snow and ice conditions. The car park hadn't been salted or cleared, making it difficult to navigate. The paths leading to the hotel were also untouched, which made it especially challenging for me, as I walk with sticks. Overall, my experience was quite frustrating.

Good value, clean and tidy hotel. Staff lovely. Rooms are great size and beds very comfortable. Breakfast that keeps you going all day without being hungry, and reasonably priced. Really enjoyed our stay, and will be recommending friends that may be travelling through sterling to stop here.

Key cards weren’t working during my stay but staff were prompt in getting me access to my room. Room was spotlessly clean and warm with tea and biscuits. Food at the bar was very nice, staff polite and attentive to detail. Though as a lone traveller would prefer not to sit in the family area. Breakfast choice was good, freshly made cooked breakfast very enjoyable. I had a 9:00 am meeting so I found the service quite slow.
