What ArgyllBeagle doesn't like about Greg’s Bistro:
When presented with a laminate menu that could have come from a three-in-one to carry, we should have guessed that they were not Michelin stars cooking to wait. However, it was a Sicilian chicken disaster of cooked pasta, chicken pieces in dice and mushrooms 3.745, floating in a very fine tomato sauce. Traditional options such as fish and fries, meat and sausages cake were hardly acceptable. View all feedback.
I recently had dinner at the newly opened Bistro and the atmosphere was fantastic! I loved all the paintings and decorations, they added so much character to the place. I ordered the feather blade beef, which was one of the gluten-free options, and it was delicious! All the components worked well together and I enjoyed every bite. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely dine there again. Cheers to Greg!
This was our first family meal since lockdown and we were celebrating a 50th birthday. The menu had a good variety and was reasonably priced. The food was cooked and presented well, and was served promptly. Our young waitress did an excellent job, attending to us with a smile and keeping our glasses and plates full all evening.
We had to go through two x, but on the advice of a year-old review anyway. And what a surprise! Incoming, it seemed a bit simple and we didn't think it would be a success. Nothing's less true, what we ate and what's the boy behind the bar doing best! In this restaurant annex sports café, you can eat fine! Traitor's the Haggis balls!
We walked into town looking for a restaurant with a more unique card. We went in here and some surprise. It was empty inside, but the back bar behind them was busy with most locals. They're from Manchester and they're born in Sri Lanka. What a nice, sweet people with two beautiful daughters and, most importantly, that man can cook! We've eaten deliciously, and in the meantime, chatting with them about everything and stuff. This restaurant is a real rapist! A hidden pearl, so if you're in Callander, go and eat deliciously, you don't want to be disappointed.

The food is very good, the onion bhajis were the lightest I have ever had, chicken lollipops so tasty and the tandoori lamb chops so tender. Fine paratha’s stuffed with potato helped mop up our curries, and everyone agreed it was excellent. I must also mention the service in the bistro and in the hotel generally, everyone was friendly, attentive and made our stay even more enjoyable as a result. Thanks to Debbie, Byron, Ewan and of course the Chef!I can’t recommend it enough.
