What Robert Godfrey doesn't like about Buchlyvie Inn:
Goodness where do I start about as welcoming as the pub in An American werewolf in London... Freezing cold and only a few grizzled locals at the bar. Place smelled so damp and moldy... We were given a seat through the back where some lo als were sitting not eating but just taking up space. The tables were dirty and the menus had food spilled on them and the placemats stuck to the table.... We made a quick escape and... View all feedback.
On Sunday afternoon to late lunch. we were just 2 for eating, even though bar area was ringing. I ordered baked mushrooms for starters and they were just terrible. over cooked and hard. other half had homemade suppe. it was a good bowl and he said it was good. we both ordered steakcakes. huge portion stack of meat in it top with puff pastries. it was delicious. also after homemade chips. the steak pee was fab and it was worth it. would go back, the mushroom would not have. the staff is friendly and friendly.
It was already 3 nights. we stay in a house on the road, but it must be good to go again. every meal is fresh and delicious. the chewed mushrooms tonight and they were fabulous. each suppe was amazing and satisfying. highly recommended to visit this pub.
My partner and I went last weekend to lunch, nice bar and very friendly staff. the meal was nice and very enjoyed, although due to a busy day on the day before we were told that the desert menu had limited choices otherwise would have given 5 stars. we're coming back.
Here remained a bit through the village and was not disappointed at all! beautiful wee local pub, friendly staff and good eating. some funny quotes on the walls that could feel that the pub really busy at waking, although it is quiet on the Monday night in which we went. great place for a pub dug when they are in the opposite.
Great food, drink and bear garden. Kids welcome and pretty pub toilets for miles around... Recommend!
