A must-visit for wine lovers over 21, Northern Vineyards Winery is a fantastic spot to relax while exploring the city. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and they'll often provide you with more tastings than you actually purchased. Make sure to visit in the summer to enjoy the wines made from local Minnesota grapes while taking in the beautiful views of the river and the lift bridge from their vine-covered... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Northern Vineyards Winery:
I have been to this winery several times over the last couple of years and can honestly say that the wine is not that good. I know that people have their own wine preferences, but when comparing this winery to others in the region I would have to rate this one last in the list. They have a nice patio on the second floor with a view of the river, but you have to tolerate the wine to enjoy it. I'm not sure what awards... View all feedback.
When we stayed in Stillwater, we stayed for our 10th anniversary. we were warmly welcomed by the staff and had the six wein samples. as with all wine tasting will not be everyone wein for everyone, but there is certainly at least in the tasting that will please their tastes. they can even buy their favorite bottle and enjoy it on their terrace.
Had a nice tasting of about 6 wines here, both white and red. The wines are naturally sweeter because the grapes that grow in MN contain more sugar than the grapes from, say, California. Don’t expect oaky, overly complex, dark wines here. The wine is great considered it’s locally produced. Stop in for a Tasting and experience Minnesota wine.
I went for a tour during a Coop Conference, the attention was great, the rose wine was delicious with the pizza salad; the view is nice.
Their red wines are not my favorite, but the whites are decent and they have a great location. There is an amazing deck overlooking the river upstairs. We like to buy some cheese, fruit and snacks at the coop, buy a bottle of wine from Northern Vineyards, and hang out on the deck. They also have a bunch of board games to play.

I'm not sure what awards these wines have won, but if they were the only winery entering then the award has to go to someone. If you go I would recommend going with one of their sweeter wines, but if you're looking for a red wine you should try another close by vineyard.
