It's fantastic to have this food truck conveniently located on the Gateway Trail. I gave it a try today. My hot dog appeared a bit like those wrinkly, charred ones you find at a convenience store that have been spinning on the grill all night, but it actually tasted fine. This was a fun lunch spot to visit on our bike trip. I had a great sandwich and the rice crispy bars were so good my kids still talk about them a month after we visited.
This is all that was left of their incredible BLT before I remembered to snap a photo. If you're biking on the trail or just need a quick bite on the weekend, this is the place to go! Their fresh squeezed lemonade is absolutely delicious and their BLT is to die for. Don't pass this place up!
Oh my goodness!!! The food is spectacular- our family of five (with kiddos age 2-5) LOVE the egg and chicken sandwiches along with any of the lemonades. What really makes Gateway Trailside remarkable is the service. The kindness and welcoming spirit of the owner is like having a wonderful meal with a great friend.
We go out of our way to get snacks and drinks at this spot when on the Gateway Trail. I absolutely love the concept, scenery, staff and selection they have. Yes, it’s a tad pricey, but it’s the best option on the trail and a great place for a break. Also, they do take Apple Pay so you don’t need to worry about packing a credit card while on your bike if you have a phone you can pay with.
The most pleasant surprise to feel completely lost with my daughters on this last mother's day when we arrived on an outside house in the middle of nowhere on a Scottish road. what a relief, and since it was such a beautiful day, we decided to go down a road near. where around the bend...below and see a beautiful view! a well maintained small hole in the woods diner with comfortable tables and the best straw. basil earthy drinks and my beautiful daughter at my side. a house in the view. it was the best day of mothers I had blessed in all my 21 years to be called mamma. I love this place, and I love you not to find it. it was part of the adventurous day that followed a fairytale hike. Thank you!
