Not for everyone but a delightful step back in time. A rare pub run by a lovely elderly lady who makes you welcome. Do not expect rapid service but starring into the open log fire gives time to reflect while she pours your pint from a barrel. View all feedback.
What Ralph Fleming doesn't like about The Devonshire Inn:
What an odd pub! Visited when there was a wake on so that didn't help much but you do feel like you are visiting the home of an elderly relative with all it's nooks and crannies and odd collections. It is perfect for a quick pint and a look at some old pubs can be. Limited opening hours, see the photo. If you're not expecting much and want an old worldy, step back in time then this is your place. If you prefer those... View all feedback.
Lovely old wordly pub with a friendly landlady. Sure it won't be to everyone's taste but go for a pint and a chat with the old landlady for stories of the village and the history of the pub! Nice beer too!
Nobody even came to the bar to serve us! Very tired and grubby looking old pub
Very welcoming traditional devon pub. with friendly landlady
Glorious proper pub with a friendly welcome, lovely massive fireplace, and fantastic local real ales. Make sure you order a pasty to soak them up.
This is a great pub, the atmosphere is perfect for a village pub.
