Ordered the filet mignon hamburger (med-rare). Arrived well done and tough. I have my doubts if was really filet mignon. Cheap choice of vegetables (carrots brocoli). Very noisy. Could not have converstion with friend. View all feedback.

I was in town on business, and I sought this place out on a recommendation from a coworker.And boy was I impressed.And for context, I’m English speaking, and from Alberta.The staff are so sweet, at first I thought I was being patronized. But then I realized that they are just that accommodating!I ordered a beer from Portugal that I was expecting to suck, an old fashioned, the 18 oz porterhouse done mid rare, and lobster tail as pictured below, and added a cheesy twice-baked potato side.Did someone set off an explosive charge between me ears?? Cause me mind, was f’n BLOWN!The steak was IMPRESSIVE to say the least, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The lobster tail was so succulent I rolled several bites around in my mouth like a fine wine to absorb the flavor. And the twice baked potato side was a wonderful balance of flavors and richness.and that Portuguese beer was so tasty I had to have another!Finish it off with their rich and delicious cheese cake, and that’s me done for the night!I cannot stress enough how worth the trip this place is. If not for being an out of province resident, I’d be back here. Repeatedly!

Came in at the end of my day and was greeted by welcome. Although the restaurant was about to close the kitchen in 20 mins, they told me not to worry and took my time to look at the menu.The salmon tartar was a bit on the lighter side. The bread was amazing. Soft inside and crunchy on the outside, freshly baked from the oven.I ordered the Filet Mignon and it was cook to what my liking exactly ?! The dried aged beef was so tender and juicy. This could be one of the best filet I have so far.The service was attentive and polite.thank you so much for your service.
I was in the area on a business trip and a coworker from the area recommended the 1855. I have to say that their steaks are excellent cuts and were perfectly prepared within our view. The Tomahawk was an absolute experience. Wine selections were exquisite. I enjoyed every perfectly prepared bite of ribeye. The staff were very friendly and attentive. A visit to this steakhouse is a must.
