Maybe this style of Chinese cuisine isn't for us as all 3 of us found each dish, though fresh hot, very subpar, flavorless, almost bitter. It's like they are ever so carefully saving each granule of sugar, an essential flavor profile. We don't even like sweet meals, but you have to use a tiny bit of sugar to bring out the other flavors.
