The Coopers - Stevenage

I went to this restaurant for breakfast with my family. Unfortunately, it took a very disappointing 40-50 minutes to receive our cold breakfast. It wasn't very busy, with only 5-10 other people in the restaurant, and not all of them were eating. This was not a pleasant experience for us. One plate was missing eggs, while the other had the wrong bread. The beans were cold, and the hash brown bites were also cold. It made me question how they could serve a full restaurant. I understand that you get what you pay for, but this was just extremely disappointing.

We have been to this restaurant multiple times over the years and unfortunately have had a bad experience about every 3-4 visits. Despite this, we continued to give it a chance. However, our last visit on a Thursday night was the final straw for me. We met here with our niece and her young family for dinner. We ordered our starters and mains shortly after 7pm, but by 8:30pm our food still had not arrived. A waitress informed us that the children needed to leave by 9pm, but we insisted they would leave once they had finished eating. Finally, our food arrived all at once, but it was lukewarm at best and the Calamari appeared to be old. We were too hungry to take photos and simply ate enough to satisfy us and get the children ready for bed. The lack of check-ins from the staff and our overall disappointment led us to cancel our reservation for the following day with other family members. In the future, we will just stick to having drinks at this restaurant.

If I could give a rating of zero, I would. The staff promises to refund customers for poor service and low-quality dishes, but they do not follow through. Dishes are often unavailable after being ordered, and sometimes items are missing when everyone else's dishes are served.

Just had Christmas dinner there. Was absolutely wonderful. Service was brilliant. Staff were amazing. Special shout out to Sydney and her mum. Thank you for looking after us. The food was fantastic. Tasty and hot. We had an excellent family lunch. Couldn't fault it.

Went in for dinner with my family, the younger lady on the bar was so lovely, gave us some recommendations on drinks and food. Food was soo good, was out in record timing despite being busy. Would 100% recommend
