What Marlene Lopez doesn't like about El Jacal Mexican Grill:
The manager would take care of the other tables except for us we called her many times and she ignored us. Never coming back to this place. The other waiter was really nice except for the manager. View all feedback.

Well, I 'd like to say that I 've become disabled a lot more than I intended. I 'd been just out of the hospital for about 3 weeks, and my boyfriend wanted to take me out for dinner. Everything closes up so early around here since covid came and went. (Small rant, no one wants to work any more! Anyway, I 'm on 24/7 oxygen, so I have to carry a tank with me. I have a small service animal that has tags and goes everywhere with me. Well behaved as well. I just got in the door and was looking at their sale menu items to eat when I was approached by a sweet young lady telling me they don 't alow dogs in their unless they are service animals and have the papers to prove it. Or tags. My boyfriend was changing my airtank at the time, so I 'm sure she wasn 't aware I was disabled. But then he came in with it just as I was showing he my dogs tags. She said she didn 't have any issue with him being there, but she was told by the other girl to tell me he couldn 't be their. She was a really nice girl. I 'd hoped she was our waitress, but she wasn 't. The one told her to tell us that was. When she came to seat us, instead of taking us to our table, said , Since you have a dog, would you mind sitting in the banquet room. I said sure i guess. She pointed out the way we went. And took her a few min to come back with menus and such. She didn 't smile very much, seemed unhappy she had to services us. I tried to make her smile anyway. Smiled once, I think. So I did my job. I would have had a better time with the other gal. I would have enjoyed the place and everything about it way better. And they would have gotten 5 stars and a way better review. I 'm not sorry that I had to bring my company with me. I suffer a lot of trouble, and you shouldn 't judge people because of the animal. He was no trouble at all, was very clean. Never barked or growled. And you still got a tip. I know you can do better, and I 'll be back again to see if you have. Why, because the food was great. By the way, my Margareta didn 't look like at all. But did still taste good. I 'd love to try a bloody Mary if they make them?

Atomsphere is great and place is always so clean, the workers are so nice and can speak both English and spanish which is awesome. The way they do steak/ carne asada here beats out every other “mexican” place here in sterling in flavor and portion so please check this place out if you can its so good! Only thing id recommend is for them to spice up their “hottest” sauce a bit more but thats just my personal preference so it really doesn’t matter. 10/10 overall
Very enjoyable meal. Had taco salads. One with chicken. One with steak. A lot of food. Great flavor. Margarites have a bite and tasty. Happy hour is 3 to 6 pm.
Delicious food with large portions! Great service and a fun atmosphere.
