The staff is wonderfully friendly and kind, and the menu offers a fantastic selection. But really, don't miss out on the coconut coffee; it's a true must-try!

This... read more I live close by and I am always on the look out for small/family owned coffee shops rather than the big chains (Coldspoon is right next to Dunkin Donuts). This is my third time coming after the second time was not that pleasant. The girls who work up front seem miserable with their jobs and sound/look super annoyed when someone walks in. I fully understand bad days and all, but it was fairly quiet when I went in and the three of them were just standing there talking and drinking coffee (which is fine). Then when I was checking out the tip option came up, and I was going to add a tip and the cashier then said JUST HIT NO TIP , I was caught off guard by her aggression which was unnecessary. I did still tip. I am aware of this whole tipping culture issue going on, but you can say it in a nicer way. The first time I went in, it was a gentleman (not sure if the owner), but he was very welcoming and explained the menu and actually seemed to enjoy making coffee. I don 't appreciate going into a store where the staff looks visibly annoyed that a customer walked in and wants coffee. Luckily the coffee is really good so I somewhat disregard their attitude. The experience could be much better if they were a bit happier! The aesthetics of the coffee shop are nice, but the layout makes the space very small for people ordering coffee or waiting to pick up their orders. The place could be a little brighter with the decorations and more welcoming. One reason I did not try Coldspoon for awhile was because it did not feel inviting on the outside.
