Cold Smoke 377 - Stephenville

The Republic of Texas coffee is a staple at my house. So good.

Let's start with the atmosphere. The interior is cozy and warm with a rustic mountain cabin theme, my favorite aesthetic! The service was good, not a whole lot to say there. For food, I got a cool bean coffee drink, which was exceptional! I have a big sweet tooth, which it definitely hit perfectly. It had a very pleasant warm flavor, almost like molasses. I also got the Chorizo breakfast burrito. I was a little disappointed it didn't have a ton of flavor aside from the salsa. I've definitely had better.

I had a toasted marshmallow coffee my husband got unsweetened ice tea and we both enjoyed the jalapeno sausage breakfast burrito. We definitely enjoyed the food and our drinks as well as the atmosphere, we look forward to bringing the kids for a pizza pie next time we are in town.

I really want to love this place! But we came through and got a couple of iced coffees. We got down the road before we took a sip and neither one of them tasted like there was anything but milk and syrup. The Drunken moose had zero flavor and looked nothing like the picture they posted today. I doubt we'll pay that much money for the coffee again, unfortunately.

I normally give a place at least two opportunities before I make a decision. This is the second time I have come through and try the coffee first time the coffee had absolutely no flavor, and it seemed as if I was just drinking some more milk the second time I come through, I try something different that sounded good and the drink is so hot but after 10 minutes, I still can barely hold a cup and haven’t even been able to try my drink. Also, it was supposed to have whip cream and the gentleman taking my order, even double checked to make sure I wanted whip cream and I said yes and course my drink did not have a whip cream, even if it did, it would’ve melted almost instantly because the drink is scalding hot. I’m a regular coffee connoisseur and enjoy trying new places, so this is very disappointing to me.
