Smitty's - Steinbach

You like re heated food from last nights dinner you’ll love this place, for paying $20 per item to taste like garbage with not enough sauce an re heated items isn’t worth it.

Food is always great, the website suck always. I have never been able to order online. I have tried at least half a dozen times. Today the Steinbach location didn't even exist. I have no problems with anything but the website and you have to go through an automated message when you call them.

Now that the covid-19 is just about all over out here and Steinbach Manitoba we can go about freely about having a nice dining experience. The restaurant is open as well as they kept the corner stores they call it. It was really a shame to have to have to miss it but we managed to get through it in the short time that it was closed for three months. If you want some more German High German type food this is the place to go this is excellent excellent food and a atmosphere is fantastic.

In town for a few days so sampled this establishment at different times of the day and for different meals. They came through with flying colors. Great Breakfast and enjoyed the lounge later in the day.

We just had breakfast here the day before, great service/food, so we tried dinner. We were a party of 8. Dinner was ordered, took a while, but finally served. One person was very upset with his order, as the description on the menu was not plated. We brought this the the attention of the waitress, who tried to explain, but failed, so the supervisor was brought in, and once again failed to understand what we were trying to say. It wasn’t until we showed them the menu that they understood what we were saying. What could’ve been a simple fix, by the server going to the kitchen and getting some mashed potatoes and gravy, turned into a total communication breakdown!! Listening skills were lacking by both server and supervisor. Some meals were disappointing! Some were excellent!!
